Investing in potential, nurturing capability, and shaping tomorrow’s professionals

We are passionate about unlocking potential, not only through our assessments and development programs, but by giving young professionals the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully in real-world environments.
This month, we are delighted to welcome a group of dynamic interns from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) to the SHC team. Each of these individuals brings fresh perspectives, intellectual curiosity, and a strong drive to make a difference.
Why We Invest in Internships
Internships are more than just work experience – they’re stepping stones toward building confident, capable professionals. At SHC, we believe in providing our interns with:
Hands-on exposure to the world of psychometric assessments, individualised development plans (IDPs), and talent advisory work.
Mentorship and guidance from our experienced consultants and practitioners.
Opportunities to contribute to meaningful behind-the-scenes work that supports the client experience.
Learning Through Doing
Our UJ interns are actively involved in:
Assisting with the scoring and administration of psychometric assessments.
Capturing and managing data used in client reporting.
Learning how psychological insights are integrated into development frameworks.
Supporting the broader team through administrative tasks and internal projects.
Gaining valuable experience in working collaboratively within a consulting environment.
By working closely with our team, interns develop practical skills, a deeper understanding of professional dynamics, and confidence in their own ability to contribute to a shared purpose.
A Message to Our Interns
To our new UJ interns: welcome! We’re thrilled to have you on board and look forward to learning from you as much as we hope you’ll learn from us. SHC is a place where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and growth is a shared goal.
